I woke up at 9am, dad woke up early as usual.

After a couple hours of being awake,

dad fell asleep again watching T.V. in the kitchen.

He fell on the same shoulder he hurt the day we started the trip. Though a tough man, he shrugged it off.

Marilee stopped by, dad was dosing, so she suggested to come back later. Misty left for Kenosha at 11am to visit her friend Bawnie. I went to see an old buddy from Fleetfoot. Jeff Watson, who was my best friend for a long time. His father was having heart surgery, I met Jeff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital to visit and show the family support. The surgery went great, we were all happy to hear things went good. Also there was his mom Barbara and his wife Nicole.

At 2:15pm, I called Debbie, she is going to call back to meet sometime. This was the first time we had ever spoke on the phone. I called Krista and within the hour was there to visit. I got to meet her children; McKayla, Antonio and Destiny. We hung out for about 2 hours and talked. Marilee had stopped by to see dad again. 

At about 7:30pm, Chad LeBeau and his mom, Kim and his son Drake came to visit. Shortly after, Chad Balogh and Nicole came over. Dad visited with everyone at the house. Chad, Nicole and I went to Krista's house. Nicole and Krista got along great, we shot pool. The girls teamed up and beat us 3 of 4 games. We also met Nate, Krista's husband. 12:30am, Krista, Cahd, Nicole and myself went to Denny's in Pewaukee and ate. From there, we went back home to sleep.

September 30th, 2006- I woke at 9am. Dad was ready to visit some people. We drove to the Galindo's, they were not home. Then drove to Buzz and Carol Cook's house. Carol was mom's lifelong best friend. Buzz was the only one there, we talked for about 45 minutes. Then we went to 604 Oakland Ave. to see Anneka. She was extremely happy to see us, we spent about 45 minutes with her talking, she said Greg was at work. From there we got back to Loraine and Don's house, and I noticed a gift box lying near my stuff. It read (from Gary to Gary). It was a bracelet, engraved "Gary". This was Gary LeBeau's, I was honored and floored, dad was with me and saw how moved I was. Shortly after, Don and Loraine got home, they had made copies of some important genealogy papers for me.

We called Paulie at about 1pm to arrange a visit. At 3:15pm, dad and I stopped by the hospital to say Jeff Watson, his parents John and Barb and I met his son Devin. We stayed about an hour, dad left back to Loraine's house and then went to visit Dan and Mary. I stayed with Jeff and Devin to spend time with him and the family. Before we got to there house, we took a stroll down fleetfoot.

 I ate at Jeff's house, his wife Nicole made a delicious lasagna and ceaser salad. I spent about 4 hours there, Jeff's family is great, his wife was sweet, is children were incredible and Jeff was  as friendly as I knew him in the 4th grade. I also met Jacob who is 3; Devin is 7.

Both kids were lovable, Devin and I bonded right away. He drew me a picture before I left, he cried to see me go and was upset i was leaving for good. Not much surprises me but this did. Jeff resides in Franklin, WI. We threw the football around a while; Devin, Jacob and i played our guitars for a while too. 

I got home at 9:30pm and was expecting Chad and Nicole. At this time I was feeling so many emotions, good and bad. I couldn't stop thinking of mom and Scott. I have come to the realization that home is not in WI anymore, I also know it isn't FL. Home is my family, my friends and especially my wife, she is my home.

I am a little off it seems because of everything that is happening and that has happened. I understand it is impossible to bring all these people together, though somehow I strive to work it the best I know how. Knowing the next time I will see some of these people maybe never, it does frustrate me. Also, to know my wife isn't feeling all this love from everyone right now bothers me.

I know she would have loved to be here, overwhelmed like the rest of us. This she deserves. It is a weird feeling to be happy, sad, frustrated, angry, anxious, overwhelmed, excited, touched and loved all together at once. I miss my mom and my brother. ( I broke down) Crying seems so easy these days, especially when alone. The house is extremely quiet.

Later on, Chad and Nicole took me to Karaoke at Lincoln Pub on Lincoln Ave. All three of us sang a couple times, Chad and Nicole sounded wonderful. I sang "Look At Us" by Vince Gill, which mom had declared her and dad's song. Many couples went up to dance. They took me home around 3am. We hung out inside Don and Loraine's house until about 4:30am, then I called and talked to Missy for an hour and a half.

 October 1st, 2006-  Jay's birthday and Ericka's birthday

I woke up at 11:30am, just in time to call in dad and my football picks. Dad woke up at 7:30am. Marilee picked up Misty from Kenosha, they arrived back at about noon.

At 2pm, we left for Steve and Kathy's house. We saw Dana, her boyfriend Steve, Steve and Kathy, and also Steph. We played horseshoes, Steve and Don played dad and I, they won both games. Enjoyed hanging out, we played Shang Hai cards until Chad, Nicole, Bella, Jackson and Nevaeh stopped in. This was the first time I had met Neveah, she is a doll. They stayed for a short time and left. Nicole keeps meeting new cousins. The rest of us left Kathy's at 11pm. Everyone was wonderful once again.

October 2nd, 2006- I woke up at 8am. At 10am, Don, Loraine, dad and I went to Prairie Home Cemetery and saw the graves of; William John and Ethel Jamieson, Arthur Humphries, Arthur Humphries Jr., Jennie Wesinthal, Betty Tworaldson, Irene and Ray Richards and mom's parents, Albert and Beulah Lapp.

When we got back to Don and Loraine's house, Kyle and his mom were there to visit. Shortly after, Robin, Nicole's mom, came to visit and say good bye to dad. Anna left with her husband and Kyle and I hung out for the rest of the day.

 He went with me to the Social Security office where I got my card renewed. We then came back to get dad, we both needed birth certificates. I got mine no problem. Misty is getting hers sent to her from FL. Dad wasn't found in Waukesha records. He will have to get his at Madison, WI.

At 6pm, Misty, Kyle and I took Anneka out for Ice Cream. She was sweet. We went to Divino's Gelato Italian on Main St. We had fun, but had to cut it a little short. At this time; Krista, Paulie, Destiny Antonio and McKayla were at Don and Loraine's house visiting dad. We got back there at 7pm. Shortly after we got there, Ericka showed up.

We had good talks and spent some time with the children while the Packer game was on. After Paulie left; Loraine, dad, Chad (who showed up around 7pm), Krista, Ericka, and myself played ping pong. Chad and Loraine were partners and the big winners. They left at 9:45pm.

 Nicole came at 11pm and stayed for a couple hours. Chad left with Kyle, Nicole followed behind. The weather was gorgeous most of the day, towards around 7pm a strong thunderstorm hit.

Dad has mentioned that he is fulfilled that we are seeing everyone we set to see. We are happy with the family and friends we have run into.

Krista wanted me to tell Missy that she found her so beautiful when she seen our wedding pictures. She wanted to make sure I told her. It was great to see Ericka too, they are both special girls. Kyle was awesome the entire time, quiet, but happy and smiling. We have yet to see Debbie, Christopher, Keri, Carol Cook, and the Galindos. Dad met an old buddy from the incinerator , he was now working at Prairie Home Cemetery. Also, he saw a guy he grew up with near Hadfield School, met him at the Courthouse.
