October 3rd, 2006 I woke up with a phone call from Debbie!

We talked about meeting for dinner.

Dad left with Marilee to Madison to get his birth certificate. He got it, though they spent an hour trying to find her car on the way back.

Misty and I went to fill the gas tank and I stopped at John's Root Beer Stand for a brat and a root beer, Misty had a root beer. We came back at 2pm, I took a nap until 4:30pm. Aunt Loraine woke me so I could call Debbie, and did. We talked and decided to meet at 5:15pm, I picked her up along with her friend Heidi.

We ate at George Webbs. We ate and talked.....left around 7:15pm. We went to the pet store and Debbie got food for her dog. Heidi was talkative and sweet. Debbie was calm and soft-spoken, just like her father. This was the first time I met Debbie, we got along right away; she has a great sense of humor.

We then went to Don and Loraine's house where she met her grandpa, Chad LeBeau, Drake, Jackson, Bella and Nicole, who came to see us all. It was a great visit, dad was so happy to have met his granddaughter.  I drove Debbie and Heidi home, gave Debbie a big hug (got one back), and left back to Don and Loraine's house. Misty and I hung out with Don and Loraine for a couple hours and then everyone went to bed. We are ending our Wisconsin trip tomorrow night.

October 4th, 2006- I woke up at 9am and went to Jennifer's (now Calypso's) to eat breakfast with friends from school. Sambo's,  AKA Ricky's, AKA Jennifer's is a little diner in downtown Waukesha, mom used to take us there often. The restaurant made me think of her.

At noon, Don, Loraine and I went to Highland Cemetery where Gary Donald LeBeau, George and Adeline Jamieson were buried. Ironically, I enjoyed my times in the cemeteries. I got home around 2pm, I took a nap until 4:30pm. Dad played Euchre with Don and Drake.

When I woke up, Nicole was there. They decided on having Ponza Rottas. Dad bought for everyone; Nicole, Misty and I went and got it. This was Misty's first Ponza! When we got back, Dan Chad and Drake LeBeau were there, also, Chad Balogh and Marilee.

We surprised dad knowing that the Galindos were on there way. Danny came with his mother Lola. Shortly after, Patty came. They were all extremely warm. Seeing them after 20 years was quite refreshing, remembering why we have stayed close to them. It took about 3 hours to say our good byes.

We all spoke of how special this entire week was, and how we are a closer family after spending this time together and reflecting. We left for Canada at 11pm!

October 5th, 2006 We arrived in Fargo at 8am. At 9am, we were 99 miles from the border.

I woke up again at the border, it was 10:30am. We had to answer many questions and go inside the immigration office, they found us suspicious. Dominion City, Manitoba was only 10 miles from the border.

Without exact directions, we made it directly to Olive's home at 126 Franklin Ave. When we got there, most of our Canada cousins were there to greet us, all with open arms. We spent the entire day with them, eating, taking pictures and just getting acquainted with our new found family. We left around 7:30pm.

While we were there, we visited Dominion City Cemetery where dad's grandparents are buried. We saw Joseph and Sarah Jamieson's grave along with some of our other relatives. The whole Canada family was sweet, with a good sense of humor. We are all glad and proud to know this family. We hope these relationships get even better with time.

At 7:45pm, we went to the "Duty Free" Shop on the border for souvenirs. At 8pm we got up to the Border Station where we were searched and held in the waiting room for 30 minutes, again we seemed suspicious to them.

October 6th, 2006- Tired from driving, sore from constantly moving, and overwhelmed by everyone we seen, we decided to skip our stop in South Dakota. We drove through there in the middle of the night and decided it would be best to continue.

Passing Kansas, we decided not to stop there either. We were going to see Casey and Evan but we were all hurting, physically and mentally. I was ready to see my wife, Misty was ready to come home to Todd, and dad was anxious to relax at home.

We had one more stop along the way, back to see Jay and the family there in Alabama. Although we were prepared to make a bee line back home to FL, we all wanted a last chance to say good bye to them.

We arrived at his house at 10:30pm. We drove 27 hours straight there. We spent a little time there at night with them, Jay's back was hurting him and again, wasn't much up for company. He had to work at 7am as well.

October 7th, 2006- We woke up in the morning and spent some time with the kids and Melinda and Jay. He went to work, and we left around 8:30am.

We arrived in Orlando at 4:30pm and brought dad back to Barry's. Nobody but Barry knew we were coming back this soon, Missy and Todd thought we were still in Canada. Misty drove me to my house. Todd realized we were back when he saw dad at Barry's. Missy had to work until 11pm. When she got home, I surprised her and was so happy to see her:)
