She thought it was at 2, though figured out it was an hour earlier.

At 12:38pm she called and the office

said it was fine she came in 15 minutes late.

 Though when we got there, they proceeded to tell us that the nurse had cancelled her appointment. I stated that we had called an verified our appointment, the receptionist's response was cold and she maintained her position of making us reschedule.

I gave the place hell raising my voice so the other patients could hear of the doctor's office and there miscommunication.

I stated we will not be back to deal with an office which is obviously disorganized. They couldn't even relay to me who answers there phone calls there, our faith in Florida hospitals does not exist.

May 6, 2007-  We played tennis again this morning, I picked up Todd and then picked up dad. After dad's fall last week we were hoping dad was fine to play. Was he ever! He played his best game in at least 3 years, having him and Todd beat me in the last game.

He was extra sharp, hitting the tennis ball practically at will and playing the net smartly. After tennis we drove back to dad's and said hi to Barry and Lynn. I drove Todd home and hung out until a strong wind storm and heavy rains started, that is when I left back home. When I got home, Samantha and Charlie were here with Missy.

May 7, 2007-  Melinda's birthday is today. I believe she turns 31. I met Melinda when I was about 15. As teenagers we hung out with similar people and I had partied at her house, along with her sisters. Little did I know that in time she would have ended up my sister.

As a 13/14 year old, Melinda was kind, generous and eager to please. She was the child that tried to maintain peace in the house and kept things clean, her sisters and the rest of the party goers could be unruly at times, you could tell she was worried about her parents. 

Jay met her a few years later when he moved back to Wisconsin for a short stint. They have been joined at the hip ever since.

This family has a lot of love for Melinda, she is a great wife, a great mother, a wonderful sister and her loyalty has been proven time and time again. Happy Birthday sis!

May 8, 2007-  Jeff Watson's birthday! I met Jeff in the 4th grade.  I had just moved into the neighborhood and ran into some kids who started throwing rocks at me. I started throwing them back, and may have hit a few in the process.

 One of the rock throwers was Jeff Watson. A few days later, while walking with my brother Jay, I ran into the group again. This time they were quick to flee except Jeff whom was sitting next to his boom box at the side of his apartment building.

 I walked up to Jeff and we started talking, we became best friends and things stayed that way until he moved. During the 7th/8th grade I began to get into some trouble with school and drugs. Jeff, on the other hand, was quarterback for his school and his parents were on top of his education.

Though when we did get together even during those times, regardless of our differences, we always stated close friends and he is really the only one I had kept up with through out time.

I saw him last October, he came here just a couple months later with his family. Jeff has a baby girl coming soon which marks his 3rd child, should be about 5 months older than my 1st.

I have called Jeff every 8th of May since I have been in Florida (1991). As he calls me on June 17th. I miss our time, we were simple, and could entertain ourselves with a constant game of football, or baseball.

Dad came over this morning at about 9:15am. I went to Dunkin Donuts and got some sweets and him a coffee. Missy, Dad, and I sat around the kitchen table and talked until 2pm.

I gave him my new CD with 22 songs on it, I figured he was getting tired of the first one. Missy and I worked at 5pm.

May 9, 2007-  Devin called from Georgia. We are hoping he is staying out of trouble though it is hard to tell at this point, after all, he left April 30th in the middle of the night without telling anyone where he was going.

Although we are faced with a dilemma of whether to trust his decision or not, as family we have no choice put to trust his decisions and hope he is learning honestly about life outside the confines a childhood.

It is extremely smokey outside. There has been a case of fires some on the West Coast and some here in Florida. In Los Angeles there is a fire taking over a landmark park where such movies like "Back to the Future" were filmed.

 Here the fires are in Lake County, bordering our Orange County, though the smoke has extended to us and is even the cause of some getting sore throats and irritated eyes. This only reminds me that we are getting closer to global warming taking it's affects on us.

Making the statement even sounds silly though it is evident that the temperatures are changing and parts of the world are physically changing in rapid speeds.
