Todd and Dad had decided to start tennis earlier because of the heat.

I got to the court at 8am and was the first one there.

Dad game a few minutes later and Todd and Chris about 20 minutes later.

The teams today were Todd and Chris against Dad and I. After losing 5-0, we caught up to a respectable 6-4 lose.

The 2nd game we won 5-1, then 6-4. Still energetic enough to play one more, dad and I came back again on the last game from 0-4 and won 6-4, 6 unanswered points which doesn't happen a lot. Now that I got the bragging out of the way........

I called Samantha back right after our games and she had told me Charlie's step dad just had a stroke, she was crying as they were making there way to see him in the hospital. I suppose this is becoming the time of year as of lately.

It is unfortunate how much these 2 have been through, sometimes it takes a lifetime to have this much tragedy together. On there way to the hospital they dropped Jacob and Timmy at Barry's house whom luckily had just cancelled his trip to Chicago.

After tennis, Todd and Chris went home, I went to Dad and Barry's, Dad got a CD from Chad Balogh and Nicole with 2 songs; And I Know was one of them, a song written by her father about 20 years ago.

It is so ironic hearing her sing this considering she knew little of anything about Scott a year ago. I really give her all the credit in the world for taking everything so well. She has a great voice and surprised many people. It obviously runs in that gene! 

I talked a while with Dad and Barry and said hi to the 4 children; Tara, Logan, Jacob and Timmy. I am still very under the weather, a flu I got July 29th still making me weak with a cough and cold symptoms.

 Unfortunately I have passed this on like small pox; Missy got it, Devin, our roommate Randy.....is anyone safe. I kept my distance from everyone at Barry's. I spent about an hour and a half there and then went to Todd's and said hi to Misty, Jordan and AJ. Spent about an hour there and drove home. 

August 6th, 2007-  At around 4pm I took Missy to Conway BBQ off of Hoffner and Conway. We had deemed this "our place" because we had been going there for some time, and we both enjoy it equally.

 Southern BBQ, it brings me back to the time I visited Dallas, TX with mom and dad as a kid. John and Barry were living there, and John worked at this Southern BBQ place. This is where I had my first Beef Brisket, and I had craved them ever since. 

Everyone's sickness seems to be slowly fading, though mine is on it's 8th day, lucky me.

August 8th, 2007-  Dominic came here at about 10am. While Missy went to tend to her Aunt Lucy, I watched Dominic for about 3 hours.

At 1pm, Missy, Dominic and I went to Chloe's Hair Salon so I could get my hair cut. It had been since about September since I got it cut, the beautician took about half my length.

I was tired of looking all ratty and welcomed the change. From there we went to Shannon's Casual Cafe near our house to eat. We met Carmen and Preston there and ate lunch. I went to work a couple hours later, though at about 8pm, I stopped in the Colona house to say Happy Birthday to Preston Jr. The family was eating cake, I walked in at the right time. 

August 11th, 2007-  At about 2pm we met Carmen and Preston at Shannon's Cafe to eat lunch. About 10pm, after work, Todd came over with Jordan and Chris. Chris is leaving back to WI on the following Friday.

 He just isn't finding his place here quick enough and feels he needs to go back while the options are still there. Samantha and Charlie also came over around the same time. We talked, listened to music and enjoyed each others company.

August 12th, 2007-  I took Devin to work at 7:30am and went to pick up dad for tennis. Dad and I showed up around 8am and Todd and Chris were there. Dad and I played together the first game and won 7-5.

 Then I teamed with Chris and we won 6-1. Barry came around that time as well as Charlie. After our 2nd game Chris and I beat Barry and Charlie 6-0. This was Charlie's 1st game he had ever played, hence the score.

Dad and Todd played Chris and Barry to start, though dad had cramps in his leg and fell backwards during the first game. So I stepped in his place, we won 6-2. Dad scraped his elbow up though seemed to be fine and in little pain.

After tennis dad and I stopped at his house to clean up, I talked to Barry for a while. Then Dad and I went to my house so I could get cleaned up, Missy was here. At about 2pm, Dad, Missy ad I went to Carmen and Preston's house for dinner and visiting.

Preston Jr. was there; the other guests were Mary Colona, Logan, Tara, Samantha and Charlie, and Missy's cousins, Tony, Anna, Katcha, and Niko. The meal was delicious, we stayed until about 7pm. Dad left with Charlie and Samantha, after cleaning up, Missy and I got home around 8pm.

At 5:30pm, Samantha, Charlie and I picked up Devin who was with us from there on out. We got home and watched some TV, we watch a show called Big Brother, most of the family seems to enjoy. We went to sleep early.
