are here staying with Samantha and Charlie in Ocoee for a week.

Samantha, Charlie, Krista and Nathan came over at around 10:30pm.

We talked for about 3 hours. 

Dad flew back into Milwaukee and staying with his sister Loraine. Dad has a 60th high school reunion he is attending I believe on the 18th of August. He will be going with his Ruth (nee) Jamieson, his cousin. He is also expected to see Marilee during his visit.

August 17th, 2007-  I got off of work at 10pm and came home. Allison, Missy and Randy were getting ready to leave for Ocoee to see some of the family at a place called Benchwarmers where Samantha works.

We got there around 11pm and Nat, PJ, Krista and Samantha were there. Charlie and Nathan came shortly later. There was a band playing cover tunes, they weren't that bad.

We drank a lot, Allison found herself a date, Krista gave Randy a hard time about his Georgia hat because it resembled a Packer hat, which she thought it was at first. Nat got in an altercation when this guy kept bothering Krista and Samantha.

They ended up on the floor, Charlie stepped in to assist, about the time I caught wind to what was transpiring the guy was quickly leaving the bar. Police came and asked a few questions, though went away. Nat and PJ left around 12:30am.

At 1:30am we went to Samantha's house to hang out more. We were loud enough to where the police came to the door with a complaint of noise. Our 2nd run in this night. Allison got to the passing out stage as we finally manipulated her in the car and home.

 It was an eventful night and everyone seemed to really have a good time, including Missy and I. (I did wake up with a headache from hell though to my credit, Randy and Allison passed out cold, I never did).

August 19th, 2007-  I dropped Devin off at work at 8:30am. Dad is at is 60th reunion still in WI and Chris left to move back to WI on Friday.

 I went straight to Todd's house to pick him up and Jordan came with us. We played 2 sets with Jordan, I beat them 6-3. then Todd beat us 6-2.

Todd and I played a grueling game that I squeaked by, 7-5 though admittedly worn out from the heat. At about 11:30am I dropped off Todd and Jordan and went to Samantha's where I was meeting several there to go canoeing.

 I got there around noon and Krista, Nathan, MacKayla, Nat, Charlie and Samantha were all ready to go. At first we went to Wekiva Springs then Rock Springs. Both were overcrowded so we found a place strictly for canoes and got 3. Nat and I on one, Krista, Nathan and MacKayla on one, and Charlie and Samantha on another.

At a point Charlie attempted to jump in when he realized there was nothing but broken sand on the bottom which disallowed him from touching any flooring. He sunk into the spring though had one hand in the boat still which in return made that tip, with Samantha in it.

She panicked as the boat tipped into the water and felt her life flash before her eyes. Charlie managed to get her then himself back in the boat but not before losing an oar in the process. Most of the spring was not this way, though they had hit a spot where the erosion was catching lose debris in the water which caused this.

We did a lot of swimming in the spring, it was very refreshing with the hot day that had proceeded us. We got back to Samantha's house at 6pm, I said my goodbyes to Krista and Nathan who where leaving back to WI Monday morning. 

It is also Dominic's birthday, because of work and the family celebrating it the day before, I was unable to attend. 

August 21st, 2007-  One year after mom passes..... the thought still weighs heavily on a lot of us. Todd is thinking about everything, he was the one person I had talked to today, both of us grieving quite a bit. It was a very quiet day, I worked in the evening and spent time with my wife.

August 23rd, 2007-  This dates a year after mom's memorial. I called dad whom had just gotten back from his trip to Wisconsin. He went to his 60th high school reunion apparently barely recognizing anyone, though he did go with his cousin Ruth (Jamieson) who he hadn't seen in quite some time.

He saw Nicole, Marilee, Debbie even meeting his grandson for the first time, Richie. Dad stayed with Uncle Don and Aunt Loraine, also seeing many of the LeBeaus. 

Dad and I talked for about 20-30 minutes, talking about his trip and mom. Also, we got most of his DNA results back which I noticed was there on the 22nd. His results show that his paternal side (father's father's father's....) comes from North Ireland.

 Donegal area, possibly Ulster County. We did a 67 marker test to get better results, his haplogroup is R1b1. He had 503 matches, though none of them with the Jamieson surname.

Though more research needs to be done on this, we seemed to match up with last names like Cox, Murray, Mullins, and Kelley...all deriving from North Ireland. Could there have possibly been an illegitimate child along the way, or an adoption?

 Those answers are somewhat unclear right now, though I will continue to try to figure things out within matching his DNA with others.
