Afterward, Dad went with Todd to the ranch.

Barry was there working on the shed.

I went back home to pick up

Missy and Randy to go to Samantha and Charlie's house for dinner.

We got there and enjoyed our visit, she cooks good.

September 8th, 2007-  Around 10pm, while I was driving for work, a lady drove across the intersection and misplaced her brake for an accelerator.

She drove straight across with her headlights peering down at my car. I had to immediately veer my car towards the right directing myself into a curb. I did hit the curb quite hard though avoiding any accident. I then drove where the lady was going to confront what just happened.

I got out of my car and a young Spanish girl came running. She asked if I was OK and let me know how sorry she was, even at one point hugging me because of her nervousness. No damage to the car, so I went back to work.

September 9th, 2007-  I met Dad, Todd, Devin and Jordan for tennis. Devin spent the night with his dad. The kids played good, dad was at the top of his game playing solid.

After tennis, I went to Todd's place so Devin could get his stuff. We got back to Barry's around 1pm just in time for the 1st Green Bay Packer game of the year. Green Bay vs Philadelphia who we have not beaten in 5 years. Barry and Logan were there, and sometime in the first half Barry's friend Sean came over.

We saw the Packers win in the last few seconds 16-13. This was a great day for football, Chicago lost and Tampa lost. After the Packer game I went home and watched the rest of the games with Randy, Devin and Missy.

September 11th, 2007-  6 years after the planes rode into the Twin Towers in New York. Missy and I went to her appointment at the doctor, a routine pregnant visit. Although the doctor we are now seeing for the first time is a supposed family friend, we were almost turned away for the 2nd time.

The claimed we owe $1100 at this point and needed to accept it before they would take her in. We arranged a payment plan with them which should have been suggested weeks ago. Another reason why our Healthcare system makes us nervous. I worked later on.

September 16th, 2007-  Left at 7:45am to play tennis with Todd, Dad, and Jordan. Jordan's girlfriend Vanessa was there as well. We played until about noon and Todd, Jordan and Vanessa went home.

I stopped in at Dad's afterwards and said hi to Barry. Dad and I talked for about 45 minutes and I left. I kept track of the Packer game on nfl.com, they played great and beat the Giants 35-13.

They are at this point 2-0. Watching and adoring Packer football is in our blood. Most of the family are avid fans, I have been since the day I can remember.

September 17th, 2007-  Stopped smoking in our bedroom. I began painting the room today to have it fresh and clean for Capen.

September 18th, 2007-  I finished final details of the painting, we are now in the process of cleaning the carpets. At 10pm, I was coming out of a neighborhood where I delivered.

I turned left and into the left lane, a car behind me got antsy and tried to quickly go around me to turn into his subdivision 200 feet further up. He side swiped me coming through and hit me pretty good. I stopped him in his subdivision and checked my car. It seemed fine, no real outside damage.

By the time I got back to my work I realized the lights were much dimmer and my windshield wipers were hardly moving, it was slightly raining. I had to have Randy follow me home from work, my vehicle completely died about half way there and he used his truck to push me the rest of the way.

September 22nd, 2007-  Devin's birthday, he spent at his dad's house. He spent the night there and they saw "Resident Evil 3" at the theater; AJ, Todd, Jordan and Devin. He said he enjoyed his time and was good for his soul.

September 23rd, 2007-  I met Todd, Dad, Jordan, Vanessa and Devin at the tennis courts. We played until about noon. Then, dad and I followed Todd and the gang to his place to get Devin's stuff. We got to Barry's in time for the game to start....which Green Bay was not televised.

About half time in the first games Devin and I headed out; dad was falling asleep, is normal nap time, and Barry was exhausted and dozing himself. Logan and Tara were there as well, Tara was playing with her cat and sitting next to Barry, Logan was with a friend in another room playing video game.

I got back and watched the games while checking with the Packers on nfl.com. Green Bay won 31-24 and now 3-0. To top that off, Brett Favre, the quarterback for Green Bay, just tied Dan Marino's record for all-time touchdowns at 420.

Brett Favre threw his first pass in the NFL in September of 1992, this is one month before Missy and I started dating.....15 years!

This is the biggest quarterback record and hopefully next week he will beat it. I spent the rest of the day with Missy who has been going through a lot with her Aunt (Tita) Lucy and being constantly tired from the pregnancy.
