decided to get together and celebrate an early Christmas

 as joining families. Good friends are family.

 We had the get together at our home,

Missy, Capen, myself, Teresa, Allison, Sam Rayan, Preston Sr. Preston Jr., Carmen, and Dominic.

Teresa brought spaghetti and Carmen brought piata.

December 24th, 2007-  Christmas at the ranch. We got there around 1pm. Amongst the others to be there was Jay, Melinda, Haley, Sam, Joshua, Charlie, Samantha, Jacob, Timmy, Rick and Bonnie, Leigh, Dale, Jessica, Kevin, Bianca, Allivia, Dad, Anneka, Barry, Lynn, Logan, Tara, Nat, PJ, Joey, Todd, Jordan, Devin, Missy, Capen, and myself; Misty stopped in for a very short spell.

We played another football game, we are a very competitive family, there was some arguing though it was fine and fun. Dad made is infamous hot beefs that he slow cooks for 2 days and has become a staple for Christmas dinner.

Samantha did a great job organizing a lot of the day. He stayed until quite late talking and having fun with the entire group.

December 25th, 2007-  We spent Christmas Day at Carmen's and Preston's house. Tony, Ana, Niko, Katrina, and Tony Jr. were there, along with Preston Jr., Mary, Logan, Tara, Missy, Capen, and I. We had a big dinner Carmen had made.

December 29th, 2007-  Samantha, Jacob, Timmy and Charlie come over. As we sat in the garage playing table tennis with the baby monitor on, Capen was in the living room where Jacob and Timmy were watching television.

We heard the baby whimper some though Capen quieted quickly. It wasn't until later when Missy went to check on him that she saw that Timmy was feeding Capen of a bottle, almost an ounce and a half.

Hard to punish him for doing what he just saw me doing just hours before. I let him know he will be a great big brother, which he has one on the way.

December 30th, 2007-Preston Sr. ends up in the hospital because of the sickness running to pneumonia. (Got out of the hospital Jan 2 

December 31st, 2007-  We played tennis; Dad, Todd Devin, and myself. After tennis we had a short but healthy talk between us 4. Dad played very well.

I drove Devin and Todd home and went home myself. Missy was sick and miserable, I knew Capen was on the verge of getting it himself.

January 1st, 2008-  Missy, Capen and I spent at home watching all the back to the futures I, II, and III. Missy had been sick for a couple days, I got it on the 31st, Capen got it at about 2am, well when we noticed it.

He got sick pretty bad too, stuffy nose, cough, it was awful. Barry, Todd and some of the others were tailgating somewhere for the Wisconsin college game.

  January 10th, 2008-  Capen had his surgery today. At 10:45am we went and got his ankles numbed and then went to get his shoes, the ones he will be wearing after these 3 weeks are up with his casts.

 The surgery was done at 1pm, Carmen, Missy and I were there. It was very difficult to see my son going through this, especially weighing in at 10lbs 12oz. Capen screamed during the cuts not knowing really what was being done to him.

 I talked to him through it, a minute after the surgery he started falling asleep. The relief that is over, I will be over-whelmed when he is done with this.

January 12th, 2008-  Capen has been in a super mood since the surgery, shockingly. We went to Barry's house to watch the playoffs, where Green Bay was playing Seattle. Logan, Tara, Barry, Lynn, Ron Morrison, Sean, Jerry (face I hadn't seen in over 10 years), Dad, Todd, Lynn, Allison, Randy Cooley, Nat, PJ, Missy, Capen and myself were there.

 After quickly dropping 14-0, Green Bay rallied back to win 42-20 where it was heavily snowing in Green Bay. Now 4 teams left; NY Giants vs Green Bay and San Deigo vs new England who still remains undefeated.

Samantha and Chad met in Tennessee for an audition that didn't go real well. It was somewhat of a cattle call.

January 13th, 2008-  We played tennis; Lynn, Dad, Barry, Todd and myself. Lynn and I partnered up and never lost. Dad fell in the beginning of the game, though he brushed himself off and ended up having a very good day of play.

January 18th, 2008-  Capen went with Grandma Carmen and Grandpa Preston out and about and to their house from noon until the time I got off work at 9pm. This was his first time away from both Missy and I. 

January 20th, 2008-  Todd, Misty, Nat, PJ, Barry and Logan went to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI most of them for the 1st time to see Green Bay play the New York Giants.

It was the 3rd coldest game ever in football history. Green Bay lost in overtime. Dad, Rick, Bonnie, Samantha, Charlie and I watched the game at Dad's house. It was an awful defeat and a complete let down to us all.

January 30th, 2008-  We had an appointment for Capen early AM to get his casts off for good. His legs are bruised after all he grew 2 lbs in 20 days now up to 12lbs 11oz.

His next appointment  is April 29th, on the day in which the braces he now wears always, will be limited to just at night. He has taken everything so well. Capen smiles often, even laughs out loud at times. 

February 3rd, 2008-  Carmen's Super bowl Birthday! I played about 4 hours of tennis with Dad and Todd and lost most of my games. We stopped in to say our goodbyes to dad and then I followed Todd to his place.

We talked business for an hour or 2 and then I drove back home at 2:30pm. Missy, Capen and I drove to her mom's for her birthday. Carol Branigan, her daughter and husband, Mary, Logan, Tara, Preston Sr., Preston Jr., Dominic, and Carmen were all there.

 We watched the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots 17-14 in an ugly game to end the 2007 season. Carmen and Missy seemed to enjoy the day, we left around 11pm.
