years after Scott's death.
Bummed around the house, Leigh and Dale spent sometime over with Samantha, Missy, Capen and myself. July 29th, 2008- Dad came back from his trip to Wisconsin where he visited Marilee, Loraine, Don and the rest of the bunch at the camping trip. Barry left a couple days prior who went with Tara and Logan. Nat got back around the same time, he went to Kansas to see his new grandchild Blake. Jamieson Journal 50 July 30th, 2008- Scott would be 53. Capen said his first word other than the normal rambles of mama, dada, and papa....he said "paddy cake" repeating me after I was singing to him. Towards the end of the night I went to the bathroom in the mudroom and noticed a light was on outside that I wasn't familiar seeing. I walked out there and noticed it was the lantern under the window. Nobody knows how it turned on. July 31st, 2008- Nat's birthday, I talked to him. We had a get together here at the ranch; Barry, Dad, Todd, JoJo, Shannon, Jacob, Timmy, Dominic, Preston and a friend all ate spaghetti. Samantha, Missy and Capen were all here. Jamieson Journal 50 Capen had a doctor's appointment today. He endured 3 shots barely fussing. The second one surprised him a little but he was over it in a few seconds. The doctor said he was 95% heavier than children his age and 80% taller. Just a big, solid kid....very healthy. August 2nd, 2008- Dad, Todd and I met for tennis at 8am. Robert, Devin's roommate came with Todd. Dad and I won 6-1, 6-3, 6-0. Robert hasn't played much. Leigh and Dale came with Bianca and Allyvia for a while. Jamieson Journal 50 Jamieson Journal 50 August 4th, 2008- We picked the pineapple that has been growing by the pond, dad started this plant years ago. We picked it on the 3rd though dad, Todd, Missy and I all had some today. It was very sweet. Samantha went this morning and finished her GED at Mid-Florida Tech. in Orlando. Capen is getting so big. He sings a lot and just loves music. He dances in your arms and laughs aloud constantly. He is extremely happy. He has no insecurities of jumping in people's arms, he loves the people that are around him. Jamieson Journal 50 He also learned yesterday to fall back on my lap when he is standing. I am trying to teach him it is OK to fall on your butt. He has eaten everything we put in front of him. He makes us proud everyday. August 8th, 2008- Preston Jr. has a B-Day. Samantha and Missy made a cake for him and we sang Happy Birthday. Todd came after work and shortly after, John came over. He made tacos with Missy and Samantha, Todd went and got Danielle, Devin, Jordan and Shannon; including Jacob, Timmy and Dominic there were quite a lot of people who sang Happy B-Day. John stayed for a while; Leslie is with her sister who just got in a major vehicle accident; which had killed her husband and broke her neck. Jamieson Journal 50 August 9th, 2008- Todd came over and cooked Brats and Hot Dogs on the grill. Leigh and Dale came with Bianca, Allyvia, Amber, Kevin and Jessica; Barry came with Logan and Tara and Dad; Tara spent the night here with Jacob and Timmy. Tara spends a lot of time with Capen. She holds him and plays with him for an hour at a time. No other child is that tentative to Capen like Tara is. August 10th, 2008- We began our fantasy football. Barry and Todd were over and did the draft here. Jacob, Timmy, Logan and Tara were here, Preston, his friend Troy and Dominic were here as well. Danielle and Devin where here as well. Jamieson Journal 50 August 11th, 2008- Being that Brett Favre has elected to be with another team, the NY Jets, Todd came over with the bunch to watch our Aaron Rodgers come into his own at starting QB for Green Bay. 1st game of pre season, things look pretty good so far. Devin, Danielle, Todd and Jordan came over and Missy made dinner. Samantha was here as well. She is packing to go to AZ. Capen fell asleep in Danielle's arms at 9:30pm.
