Olympian God Family Tree

|
In most beliefs, it is said that
Chaos was the beginning. Chaos was the first of the
Olympian God Family Tree, the first entity, or primeval god to emerge at the creation of the universe. She was followed in quick succession by
Gaea (Earth),
Tartaros (Underworld),
Erebus (Darkness), and
Eros (God of Love and Sexual Desire).

Zeus was considered the King of the Gods. He overthrew his father Kronos (Cronus) to rule over the other Gods. Zeus was depicted by artists as standing forward grasping a lightning bolt in his right hand, or simply a man on a throne.

To find out more about each God or Goddess, check out the books below,
they will tell you everything you want to know about this
Super-Human Family
Tree.
The Olympian tree of the gods is displayed over eight indexed charts. The basic structure follows Hesiod's Theogony, but that author's genealogies have been expanded with a plethora of additional gods, spirits and creatures sourced from other classical sources.
Where there was disagreement amongst ancient writers as to the genealogy of a certain character, the oldest and/or most popular source has been selected for the chart
above.
